Faerie

Faerie is a fluttering indie-pop manifestation of Christine Lam’s daydreams and fantasies. Her music is set in danceable grooves layered with dreamy synths and lyrics filled with wonder and escapism.

Growing up in a New York household filled with music, Faerie taught herself how to play guitar and piano. She eventually moved to voice to help express the floating melodies in her mind.

In 2008, she enrolled in formal voice teachings and began uploading song covers to YouTube, surpassing 100,000 streams on her version of “Give Your Heart A Break” by Demi Lovato (2012) in the first week. She continued to post covers throughout high school while partaking in the choir and theatre programs, bringing her to perform at Carnegie Hall for The Outstanding Filipino Americans in New York awards ceremony (2013).

Continuing to strengthen her voice and her artistic vision throughout college, the early stages of Faerie began to take shape. She went on to win a singing contest hosted by One Direction and Sony Music Entertainment and was invited to sing with Hannah Lauren about "Unconventional Journeys" at TEDxChelseaPark. Still at school, she composed and performed an original song ("Come Hell Or High Water") for Rider University's Jazz Ensemble (Vox Blue).

She graduated with a BA in Arts Administration (Music Concentration) and fully embodied the essence of Faerie. Soon after, she released her debut single, “Fever Dream,” with Canadian producer, Jonathan Atkins (wavcat) followed by her debut EP, "2am" in 2021. Her journey continues as she teams up with LA producer Matty Bedrosian (Yummm) to release her long-awaited sophomore EP (set to release in 2023) including her most recent single "k-town."

At 26, Faerie has been received by EARMILK, The Wild Honey Pie, Dear Asian Youth, and Keep Walking Music. She plans on continuing to explore the fleeting universe of Faerie, learning more about and engaging with the music industry as she goes.
